Soul Food with Ella May Thomas is filled with soulful songs and stories to soothe your soul. Expect lots of old school soul music and many other genres too. As a solo musician and band member herself, Ella is very passionate about all types of music and loves playing more undiscovered songs too. Hopefully you can discover a new tune or two each week!

The Sound Vision on Somer Valley FM show is hosted on a rotational basis, in partnership with Sound Vision, run by CEO Dom Chambers, previous Manager of the radio station.

Training is undertaken in the radio station in media skills, and if trainees have a desire to present a show, we offer the opportunity. Additionally, if anyone who has a relationship with the station, and wants to feature strong locally-based stories, then the chance is there to air a show.

Local legend Simon plays and presents songs from over the decades.

He'll also talk through his recollections to go with the tracks played out.
